The owners of this GT47r Supra contacted me a little while back to come look over the car and figure out a plan of attack. The car had been in long term storage for over a year and a major portion of it was disassembled. We talked over the goals of the car and a new fuel system was purchased from SupraStore.com including I.D. 2000cc injectors and a Magnafuel fuel pump. The owners cleaned up a handful of others things and we got the car running enough to be dynoed and then driven on the street.

Having been previously built by the world famous Supra shop Titan Motorsports the car has a strong power plant of a built 3.0l and AEM EMS behind it as well the supporting mods. Considering the owners never even drove the car and it been sitting for a while we agreed a safe tune at “low” boost would be best for now. At 24psi on pump gas 93octane it made 600whp. With a turbo the size of a GT47r its not even close to being woke up. Now that the car is safe to drive, some miles can be put on it as well as more clean up and restoration.

Once everything is complete a new set of spark plugs, Kelford cams, C16 race fuel, and possibly a intake manifold will be installed and the boost turned up. With a hefty goal of 1000whp it wont happen overnight, but the setup easily has the potential. Check back to see what happens over the coming months with the beast.

Thanks for watching. Please contact me for more info on this build or to talk about yours. Mxguy1286@aol.com

For those of you who follow K.P. Tuning you will obviously remember my good friends turbo S-10 truck that we have been tinkering with for a while. Been through a few different setups on the truck and we just keep upping the ante. After going 10.1@132 on only its 3rd pass down the track last season we went back to the drawing board and figured out a few ways to make some more power. This season we added LS2 11:1 compression pistons to the LQ9 block, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock fuel rails, and direct port methanol injection.

The truck is now a whole new animal, at only 15psi through the 29″ tall tire and TH-400 auto trans the truck put down 637whp! Pretty much all i can say is watch the video and enjoy the sound of that Borg Warner turbo screaming. If you have any questions or are looking to get your car tuned contact me at mxguy1286@aol.com

Thanks for watching! -K.P.

We hit the track with my buddies 6262 turbocharged, B16 swapped Integra hoping to get booted from the track for going to fast. While he didn’t accomplish that goal he did set new bests with the car, and got some much needed seat time in. The car will be getting an upgraded fuel system, and be re-tuned on 100 octane soon. We will be hitting the track again in the near future hoping to get the 11.3 pass under the belt. Enjoy the video & make sure to watch it in High Def!

Sorry for the lack of posts, but don’t think because I haven’t posted here that I haven’t been busy. I have had a lot going on the last few weeks. Multiple street tunes, couple Evo clutch jobs, finishing a long term customers Evo build, and been messing with the K.P. Tuning Evo as well. I need to remember to get more pictures to share with everyone from now on. Don’t forget to “Like” K.P. Tuning on facebook to see updates on a regular basis.

I’ve had multiple people contact me for tunes, and a few interested in builds. I want to thank my supporters again, keep em coming! Don’t forget my email is mxguy1286@aol.com for anyone looking to contact me directly. I will now leave you with a video of the K.P. Tuned 6262 B16 Integra tearing up the streets after I raised the anti-lag on it through Hondata.

After seeing tunes I’ve done for others the owner of this immaculate anthracite Supra contacted me for one. It’s running a pretty conservative setup with a pte6765 turbo, fmic, 4″ custom exhaust, MAP ECU, and a modified stock automatic transmission. Running low boost (approx 15-16psi) the car immediately showed signs of a maxed out fuel system. Seems the stock fuel system is good for 5-550whp in the Supra community through a manual trans. Basically what this car would of made if it wasn’t trying to put the power down through an automatic trans. I left a bit disappointed after the tuning session seeing as a big single turbo supra only put down 430whp, but considering it was through an auto trans, and maxed fuel system I can’t beat myself up over it to much. I know once the few small issues are taken care of the sky is the limit for this car. The sound of a big turbo 2JZ at full tilt is perfection. Don’t be surprised to see some more 2JZ action in the near future. ;)

Last time I had this car in for a tune the it was throwing Mivec codes and had wastegate issues which hindered us from getting the proper power out of the car. Long story short a improperly built engine was at fault, and it needed to be torn down and rebuilt. JNZ Tuning rebuilt the 2.3l, reassembled it, and the owner met up with me the other night to get the car back in line. It is still running the 5-year old SBR gt35r cast kit, GSC s2 cams, JMF drag intake manifold, and meth injection along with the proper supporting mods. The wastegate issues was fixed while the car was down as well.

At 33psi falling to about 30psi by redline (logged by the map sensor), it ended up putting down 608whp & 536wtq. While the peak power was basically the same (611whp previously), the peak torque jumped up by 50ftlbs! Never mind the peak numbers go check out the dyno graph and see how much power its making under the curve now. This car is a whole new monster and the owner immediately attested to that by calling me after making a few passes on the way home.

While peak horsepower could be improved upon with a bigger set of cams it would definitely hurt the spool up and fun factor the car packs rite now. 600whp on PSI PROformances awd dynojet is more then enough for 10sec passes in an Evo. The owner will be out in search of cracking 10s pretty soon so check back for results.

Been working on a lot of different projects lately, don’t forget to check me out on facebook, or email me at mxguy1286@aol.com if your interested in getting tuned.

The owner of this ultra rare ’91 Galant VR-4 (#108/2000) has been a friend of mine for some time now. This lead to me tuning the car on the street multiple times over the last year. It has gone through a slew of setups and issues over the last few years but has never hit the track or dyno until recently. After a small amount of street tuning shortly after installing a new PTE5857 turbo the Galant hit the track and ran an 11.8@120mph back in October. While not terrible numbers it was a somewhat disappointing track day considering the meth setup wouldn’t work and the car was pump gas only for the day. Video of these runs can be seen below.

Shortly after that the Galant made another trip to the track and went 12.1@123. Was only able to get 2 passes in the entire day so there was no way of getting any kind of consistency. Unfortunately this was one of the final track days for the season so we never made it back to get the meth situated and to go faster.

Fast forward to today, we were finally able to talk the owner into getting the car on the dyno. The dyno would be a good spot to diagnose some issues without having to deal with the crappy weather conditions we’ve been suffering through lately. After a small amount of tuning the car put down 471whp 366wtq at 27psi on 93 octane. We were also able to put a few successful meth pulls down and ended up with 508whp 394wtq at 30psi, but in no way are these finished tuned numbers. We ran out of time for this dyno session, but considering the cars setup we were happy with the pump gas numbers. Hoping to get some more street tuning done on both meth and straight pump gas and hit the dyno again in the near future.

I’ve still been somewhat busy over the winter, but I still have time to take on more tunes or even your custom build. Please message me at mxguy1286@aol.com to discuss your options. Thanks -KP
